Artists Application

Come display your artistic creations at the Village of Scarborough! We are a juried art/craft venue that juries new artisans in early February. If your art or craft is unique, handmade, and conceived & created by you, please consider applying to our show. Our goal is to have the finest and most talented craftsmen and artisan to be found in all the land.


We are specifically looking for purveyors of the following:

  • Cheese makers
  • Fine Chocolates/Candy
  • Musical instruments
  • Utensils made of found wood (i.e. Cooking spoons)
  • Items made from gourds
  • Lace making, ribbon embroidery, and 16th century themed stitchery
  • Fine art – sculpture and painting
  • Hand woven fiber arts and weavers to demonstrate (rugs, straw hats, cotton & silk cloth, etc.)
  • Handmade banners, pennants, flags, kites
  • Furniture makers in wood, metal, stone
  • Felting - Irish and Scottish felted wool items

    If you produce one of these, please consider submitting an application, and be sure to reflect the theme of our event in your presentation.


We currently have a plethora of certain types of trades in our shire. If you so happen to be a maker of the following types of wares, please check with us again in 2013. We will not be accepting applications in 2012 for the following:

  • Food/Drink
  • Face Painters
  • Readers (tarot, palmists, etc.)
  • Psychics
  • Henna & body tattoos
  • Armory
  • Renaissance Costuming/clothing
  • Footwear
  • Jewelry
  • Pewter craft of any kind
  • Leather goods of any kind
  • Weapons
  • Pottery
  • Oils/soaps/perfumes/candles
  • Imported merchandise at any time

You will need to complete our Artists Application form and submit it to our Craft Director along with pictures and samples of your work.
