Themed Weekends & Special Events for 2013

2013 will be full of surprises and new events! Stay tuned for more details about each weekend's events - updates will also be posted on Facebook.

April 6 & 7 - Opening Weekend

Opening Weekend -Children (ages 5-12) admitted free all weekend (up to three children with each paid adult admission).
Seniors (65 and up) admitted for $12 – Discount only available at the Ticket Office


April 13 & 14 - Legends of the Sea Weekend

Grand Opening of the all new Mermaid Lagoon! Mermaid and Pirate costume contest for children 12 and under. Hoist anchor and swash your buckles, it’s a yo-ho-ho of a weekend.


April 20 & 21 - Highland Games Weekend

Featuring both Men’s and Women’s divisions along with the Texas State Caber Championship.
Deaf Awareness Day, Saturday, April 20 - Special signed performances throughout the village provided by Merritt Interpreting Services.


April 27 & April 28 - Royal Ale Festival

Tastings of assorted beer and ales along with a variety of entertainment, each day from 1pm to 3pm. Tickets may be purchased online before the tasting. Free Private Club Membership required.


May 4 & 5 - Celtic Weekend

Experience all things Celtic! Special Celtic music, dancing, activities, and more throughout the weekend.


May 11 & 12 - Renaissance Romance Weekend

Mother’s Day weekend “Royal Tea” with the Queen 3:00pm each day. Tickets may be purchased online – seating is limited.
Renew your vows at Noon in the Wedding Garden on Saturday and Sunday.


May 18 & 19 - Treasures of the Realm Craft Weekend

Support your favorite Shoppe! Bring receipts totaling $250 spent in festival shoppes, to Main Souvenirs and receive a complimentary ticket for yourself, and qualify your favorite shoppes in a “best of show” contest.


May 25, 26 & 27 - Final Knights

Three days of Music, Merriment and Magic will bring our 33rd season to a close. 

Special 1pm Veterans parade on Memorial day.
All Veterans are welcome to don the yellow sash and march in the parade. Ask for directions at the Entrance to the village.
