April 4 & 5: Opening Weekend/Easter Weekend

Join us for Opening Weekend as we throw wide the gates of Scarborough.

- Up to 3 children (ages 5 – 12) admitted free with each paid adult

o Offer only valid at the Front Gate to Scarborough

- Seniors 1/2 Price (ages 65+)

o Offer only valid at the Scarborough Ticket Office

- Easter Activities:

o Easter Ceremony on Sunday, April 5th at 12:30pm on the Crown Stage in Crown Meadow

o Children’s Treasure Hunt both days

§ Treasure maps will be available at the Front Gate

April 11 & 12: Royal Ale Festival

Bring your friends and enjoy tastings of assorted beer along with a variety of entertainment!

- Royal Ale Festival Event Information:

o Each day from 1:00pm—3:00pm in the Crown Pavilion

o Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased online before the tasting.

- Turkey Leg Eating Contest

o Think you can be the first person to finish a Giant Turkey Leg? Register to compete at the Front Gate upon your arrival.

§ The contest will be held at the Captain’s Pub at 3:00pm both days.

April 18 & 19: Celtic Weekend

Unleash your inner Celt this weekend while enjoying special Irish & Scottish performances, bagpipes, and testing your fortitude in a number of themed competitions!

- Bonnie Knees Contest at Scottish Court in Hollyfield at 11:00am

- Tug O’ War Competition in Crown Meadow

- Shandon School of Irish Dancers performance on the Whimsey Stage

- Children’s Highland Games

- Scottish Egg Eating Contest at the Sea Hag Stage at 4:00pm

o Who can eat 2 Scottish Eggs in the shortest amount of time? Think you can? Register to compete at the Front Gate upon your arrival.

- Special Celtic Performances by Jigmacool on the Brothers Stage throughout the day

*All performances, contests, and competitions will happen both days!

April 25 & 26: Artisan’s Showcase Weekend

Explore the variety of wares that the Village Artisans of Scarborough have to offer in our 2nd annual Artisan’s showcase!

- Visit the Artisan’s Showcase tent in each area of our festival (Pecan Grove, Crown Meadow and Holly Field) to catch a preview of the handmade items each area offers. Vote for your favorite item in each area to qualify that shoppe in a “Best in Show” contest and register to win a handmade gift basket! Voting will occur both days; and one winner will be selected each day.

- Artisans Scavenger Hunt: Find the hidden treasures found in the shoppes throughout the Village of Scarborough and be entered to win a Scarborough Prize Package!

o Scavenger Hunt details available in the Main Souvenir Shoppe both days.

May 2 & 3: NEW! Live the Fantasy Weekend!

Embrace your imagination during our All New Live the Fantasy Weekend!

- Scarborough will host both an Adult & Children’s Costume Contest both days. The winner of each contest will receive a Scarborough Prize Package as a grand prize!

o The adults will have their own contest:  adults in fantasy based costumes are invited to march in the Grande Parade where ‘secret judges’ along the route will choose the winners!

o Children in fantasy based costumes are invited to join His Royal Majesty King Henry VIII at Post Parade Proclamation at 1:15pm

- Children’s Fairy initiation ceremony at 12:00pm each day at the Royal Marquee.

- Deaf Awareness Day, Saturday, May 2nd - Special signed performances throughout the village provided by Hired Hands, Inc.

May 9 & 10: Mother’s Day Weekend/Renaissance Romance

Give Mom the wonderful treat of a special day at Scarborough Renaissance Festival®!

- Mother’s Day Brunch Event Information:

o Treat mom to a special Mother’s Day brunch with the whole family! There will be lively entertainment and the scrumptious buffet. Plus, King Henry VIII and other members of the Royal Court will make a special visit to honor all mothers!

o From 11 am – 12 noon each day at the Crown Pavilion.

o This is a separate ticketed event - $20 for adults (ages 13+) and $10 for children 5-12. Children 4 and under are free. Children 4 and under are free.

o Tickets may be purchased in advance online or at the event itself (space is limited).

- Renew your vows at Noon in the Wedding Garden on Saturday and Sunday.

May 16 & 17: Legends of the Sea Weekend

Hoist anchor and swash your buckles, it’s a yo-ho-ho of a weekend.

- Children in mermaid and pirate costumes are invited to join His Royal Majesty King Henry VIII at Post Parade Proclamation at 1:15pm to compete in a costume contest!

- Children’s Pirate initiation ceremony at 12:00pm each day at the Royal Marquee.

- What better way to celebrate the legends of the seas that with some fun spirited pirate games? These games will take place each day at the Sea Hag Stage in Pecan Grove at 4:00pm

May 24, 25, & 26: Final Knights Weekend

Three days of Music, Merriment and Magic will bring our 35th season to a close.

- Memorial Day Veteran’s tribute – all active and retired military members are invited to march in the Grande Parade at 1:00pm on Memorial Day Monday, May 25.
