Scarborough Renaissance Festival is a juried event that accepts new artisans each Festival season. The Festival takes place in April & May of each year. If your product or craft is unique, handmade, conceived and created by you, we invite you to apply to our Festival. Our goal is to showcase the finest and most unique creations at Scarborough Renaissance Festival. We have a limited number of available spaces for new artisans.
Deadline for Scarborough Renaissance Festival 2023 submissions is January 1, 2023.
We are specifically looking for makers of the following:
- Toy maker
- Musical instruments
- Fiber Artists – quilled paper, paper making, painted silks
- Childrens Costumes (styles for boys and girls; no tutus or fairy-only shoppes)
- Viking Costumes
- 2-D Artists with originals and matted prints
- Feather Fans
If you produce one of these or any item that is creative and unique, please consider submitting an application, and be sure to reflect the theme of our event in your presentation.
We currently are currently full of certain categories of trades in our shire. If you so happen to be a maker of the following types of wares, please check with us again in 2024. We will not be accepting applications in 2023 for the following:
- Face Painters, henna and body tattoos
- Readers & Psychics
- Armory & Weapons
- Renaissance Costuming/clothing
- Pewter craft of any kind
- Leather goods of any kind
- Laser cut products
- Imported merchandise or trade show items of any kind
E-mail your completed application with digital photos to: [email protected]. There is a $30 Jury Fee to apply to the Festival, payable online with the 2023 Artisan Application. Our jury will meet in early January, 2023. Applicants will be notified by January 25, 2023.
