Unleash your inner Celt this weekend while enjoying special Irish & Scottish performances, bagpipes, and testing your fortitude in a number of themed competitions!

  • The Rogues return to Scarborough on the Idlewyld Stage.
  • Shandon O’Regan School of Irish Dancers.

  • Scottish Egg Eating Contest
  • Keg Tapping with Franconia! We’ll tap a keg containing Franconia Honey Spelt at the Lady Hawke Stage at 11:00 am.

Royal Ale Festival

Bring your friends and enjoy tastings of assorted beer along with a variety of entertainment!

Royal Ale Festival Event Information:
Each day from 12:00pm—4:00pm (extended hours!) in the Crown Pavilion. Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased online before the tasting.

Stein Holding Competition:
See if you can have what it takes to hold a beer stein longer than the rest to win your very own collectable, souvenir Scarborough Stein! Register at the Front Gate by 2:00 pm to participate.

Deaf Awareness Day (Saturday, April 28th) – Special signed performances throughout the village provided by Hired Hands, Inc.

Live the Fantasy & Spring Celebration Weekend

Embrace your imagination during our Live the Fantasy Weekend!

Costume Contests: Adult & Children’s Costume Contest each day. Grand Prize – Scarborough Prize Pack!

Adults: Those in Fantasy based costumes, Register at the front gate by 12pm each day to participate and receive further instructions.  Please note – you will not be marching in the Parade this season for this contest.

Children: Children in Fantasy based costumes register at the front gate by 12pm each day then meet at the Post Parade Proclamation on the Chess Field (Holly Field) at 1:20 for the contest.

Children’s Fairy Initiation Ceremony at 12:15pm each day at the Royal Marquee.

Fairy Entertainment: Don’t forget to check out the all new Fae Follies show on the Whimsey Stage at 11:30 each day.

Spring Celebration: Join in the fun with the Villagers of Scarborough as they celebrate “May Day” and the beginning of Spring by adorning beautiful flowers throughout the weekend!

Celebrating Chivalry Weekend

Give Mom the wonderful treat of a special day at Scarborough Renaissance Festival®!

Mother’s Day Brunch Event Information: Treat mom to a special Mother’s Day brunch with the whole family! There will be lively entertainment and the scrumptious buffet from 12pm – 1pm (new time) each day at the Crown Pavilion. Plus, Members of the Royal Court will make a special visit to honor all mothers! (space is limited and tickets may sell out before the event)

This is a separate ticketed event – $20 for adults (ages 13+) and $10 for children 5-12. Children 4 and under are free. Children 4 and under are free.

Renew your vows at 11:30am (new time) in the Wedding Garden on Saturday and Sunday. 

Wooing Contest: Woo your love with fun contests and the chance to win a Scarborough prize pack! Register at the front gate by 12:00 pm each day to participate!

Legends of the Sea

Hoist anchor and swash your buckles, it’s a yo-ho-ho of a weekend.

Legends of the Sea Performances:
  • Bilge Pumps on the Idlewyld Stage
  • Sea Shanty Sing Along at the White Horse Tavern and Sea Hag Stage.
  • Don’t forget to check out the all new So you Want to be a Sailor? Show on
    the Whimsey Stage at 12:00 pm.
Legends of the Sea Activities:
  • Children’s Costume Contest: Children in mermaid and pirate costumes are invited to join members of the Sea Hawks at Post Parade Proclamation at 1:20pm to compete in a costume contest! To register for the contest, please visit the Front Gate before 12:00pm for all details.
  • Pirate Initiation Ceremony at the Royal Marquee in Pecan Grove at 12:15pm.
  • Turkey Leg Eating Contest: See if you have what it takes to eat a Turkey Leg faster than anyone else for a chance to win a Scarborough Prize Package!  Register at the Front Gate by 12:00 pm to participate.
  • Keg Tapping with Franconia – We’ll tap a keg containing Franconia Maibock at the Peg Leg Stage at 11:00 am.

The Last Huzzah!

Come give one Last Huzzah as we close out the 2018 season with a grand celebration over the 3 day Memorial Day Weekend with music, merriment & magic throughout the Village of Scarborough. Of course you never know when you might encounter a few surprises as well!

Memorial Day Veteran’s Tribute: All active and retired military members are invited to march in the Grande Parade at 1:00pm on Memorial Day Monday, May 28.
